About the role

As an Educator, you will help drive our mission by organizing and facilitating daily activities that are both educational and enjoyable for children. You will maintain a safe, nurturing environment while modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, and encourage team collaboration and accountability.
  • Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum aligned with program objectives.
  • Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
  • Ability to meet Washington state-specific requirements, including:
    • First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
    • Cleared tuberculosis test.
    • Food Handlers Card.
    • Proof of MMR vaccination.
    • 18+ years of age.
    • Proof of High School diploma/GED.
    • Background check with fingerprinting.

Skills

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Pay

$18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

  • Before School Shift: Monday 6:15 AM–10:30 AM, Tuesday–Friday 6:15 AM–9:00 AM.
  • After School Shift: Monday–Friday 3:15 PM–6:00 PM.
