Part Time Childcare Educator (Ridgefield School District)

Job Summary

Right At School Educator and Substitute Educator positions are available. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on education and experience. Positions offer split shift schedules, typically Monday through Friday, with Before School shifts from 6:30am-9am and After School shifts from 2:30pm-6pm. Full availability is required, with actual schedules varying based on needs.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Mentor and guide children with special needs.

Requirements

• Proof of High school diploma/GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Respect for and dedication to working with children with special needs.
