Part Time Childcare Educator (Ridgefield School District)

About the role

Right At School provides safe, fun, and meaningful extended day enrichment programs for students across 17 states. As an educator or substitute educator, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a love of learning and supporting schools and parents.

Responsibilities

• Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Mentor and guide children, especially those with special needs.

Requirements

• Proof of high school diploma/GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills with varied audiences including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Driven to inspire a love for learning and committed to healthy living.
• Respectful and dedicated to working with children with special needs.
