Part Time Childcare Educator - NJ - Galloway Township Public Schools

About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe environment for children to explore and grow.
• Customer Service and Relationship-Building Skills: Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Teamwork: Works well in a team environment.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Flexibility: Willingness to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• New Jersey State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR: In-person certification required.
• Tuberculosis Test: Cleared.
• MRI/MR: Proof of MMR.
• Age: 18+
• Education: Proof of High School diploma/GED.

Pay

$16.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 8:35 AM and 3:20 PM - 6:00 PM
