About the role

Educator Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The role involves inspiring a love of learning, supporting schools, and giving families peace of mind by fostering a safe, engaging environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
• Communicate Effectively: Work well with a variety of audiences.
• Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma / GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood ed, child dev, special ed, elementary ed, or the human services field OR HS Diploma / GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training OR HS Diploma / GED with 15 credit hours in early childhood ed, child dev, special ed, elementary ed, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience OR HS Diploma / GED plus 2 years of experience.
• State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• Training: First Aid and CPR-in-person.
• Certification: Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Age: 18+ years of age.
• Preferred: CDA certification.

$15.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 8:10 am AND 2:10 pm - 6:00 pm
