About the role

Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Works well in a team environment.
• 18+ years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required.
• Background Check with fingerprinting.

Skills

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Pay

$18.00-20.00/hr (based on education and experience)

Schedule

• Before School Shift: 6:15am-9am Monday- Friday
• After School Monday- Thursday: 3:15pm-6pm
• Friday: 12:45pm-6pm

Washington Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Food Handlers Card.
