Part Time Childcare Educator - Milltown Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended-day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

About the role

• Daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities, preparing and leading structured fitness, educational, and enjoyable curriculum aligned with program objectives.
• Lead by example, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring the environment, addressing hazards, and following safety protocols, including documenting attendance and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet New Jersey state-specific requirements.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Proof of MMR vaccination.
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Pay

$16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–8:25 AM and 2:45 PM–6:00 PM.
