About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The role involves driving the mission by leading daily program meetings, organizing and facilitating daily activities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and foster team accountability.
• Prepare and lead structured daily activities aligned with program objectives, ensuring they are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, addressing potential hazards and following all safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring the environment and addressing potential hazards.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Have outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Have at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Be flexible to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CDA preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
• High School Diploma/GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training.
• High School Diploma/GED with 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience.
• High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of experience.

$15.00-$18.00 (based on education and experience)

Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM
