About the role

As an Educator or Substitute Educator, you will drive our mission by delivering a dynamic daily curriculum that engages children in academic and social character-building, expanding school day learning in a meaningful way. You will model positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure the safety, well-being, and attention of all children while supporting homework completion, leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.

Responsibilities

  • Organize program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents, and other observations
  • Deliver our dynamic daily curriculum to engage children in academic and social character-building
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being, and attention of all children
  • Support homework completion, lead fun fitness activities, and guide children at play
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel
  • Meet regularly with the Program Manager regarding professional progress and team accountability

Requirements

  • Proof of High school diploma/GED
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements: FA/CPR, Mandated Reporter, Cleared TB, Proof of MMR, and Food Handlers Card
  • 18+ years of age
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, must be available all 5 days
  • After School Shift: 2:40pm-6pm (actual schedule will be based on the needs of the programs)
