Part Time Child Care Educator (Vancouver School District)

About the role

Right At School Childcare Program seeks Educators and Substitute Educators to join our dedicated team. We provide before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documentation.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Pay Range: $18.00 - 20.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
• Monday-Friday, availability for all 5 days
• After School Shift: 2:40pm-6pm (schedule based on program needs)
• Works well in a team environment
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements
• Certified in First Aid and CPR
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• Proof of High School diploma/GED

• Passionate about inspiring a love of learning and supporting healthy living
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Age 18+
