Part Time Child Care Educator - Highline School District

About the role

Right At School Childcare seeks educators to provide before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Work with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Meets state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR training.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• High School diploma or GED.

Schedule

Monday-Friday Split Shift, must be available all 5 days for both shifts each day. Before School Shift: 6:30am-9:15am and After School Shift: 3:15pm-6pm (Friday 1:45pm-6pm).

Pay

Pay Range: $20-$22 per hour (based on education and experience).
