Part Time Child Care Educator - Highline School District

About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead Structured Daily Activities: Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Available all 5 days for both shifts each day.
• Before School Shift: 6:30am-9:15am and After School Shift: 3:15pm-6pm (Friday 1:45pm-6pm).
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
• First Aid and CPR training required.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday Split Shift.
• Before School Shift: 6:30am-9:15am.
• After School Shift: 3:15pm-6pm (Friday 1:45pm-6pm).

Pay

$20-$22 per hour (based on education and experience).
