Part Time Certified Medication Assistant

About the role

Join a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing quality senior housing and care in a Christian environment. The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications
• Record vital signs
• Assist residents with hygiene (bathing, dressing)
• Assist with mobility
• Assist with meals
• Support psycho-social well-being
• Document care outcomes
• Communicate resident condition changes to the team
• Help maintain a clean living environment
• Support residents' nutritional and recreational needs, encouraging participation
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding resident status

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• At least 18 years old
• Valid CNA and CMA certifications as required by state regulations
• Prior clinical or long-term care experience preferred
• Continuous education and certification maintenance, including annual competency testing
• Valid driver’s license may be required in some states
