Part-Time CDL Shuttle Driver (Afternoons/Evenings) – Creighton (Extra Income)

About the role

Drive with Purpose in the Heart of Omaha. Creighton University is seeking two dependable, service-oriented Part-time, Commercial Licensed, Shuttle Drivers to support campus transportation for a 3.5 hour/day, Monday - Friday schedule, between the hours of 2pm - 9pm. Target Start Date: August 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle buses, passenger vans, and other University vehicles on fixed routes, on-demand services, and assigned trips
• Follow all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DoT) regulations
• Complete required DoT logs and documentation each shift
• Perform routine vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and refueling
• Report maintenance issues, route concerns, or passenger-related incidents
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff

Requirements

• Friendly, dependable professional with a strong desire to help others
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months of relevant driving experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement required
• Valid U.S. driver’s license (2+ years), with clean driving record

Skills & Abilities

• Safe operation of shuttle buses and passenger vehicles
• Knowledge of DoT safety standards and regulations
• Clear written and verbal communication in English
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
