Part-Time Cashier/Sales Associate

About the role

The Retail Sr. Store Associate-Part Time plays a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering a vibrant sales culture. They are responsible for creating and nurturing a positive customer-centric environment, supporting the local community, and aligning with the Office Depot 5C values.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively engaging every customer and promoting the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services.
• Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
• Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company guidelines and keeps a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
• Adheres to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
• Fulfills inventory lows and outs daily.
• Works to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided, including advanced Print and Technology training.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and supports the company’s loss prevention efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with no previous experience required. Retail sales experience is preferred, and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and G-Mail) are necessary. Ability to use computers and technology for information processing and completing documentation is also required.

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

The salary range for this role is $17.00/hr. to $19.07/hr., with compliance with state and local minimum wages resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range.
