Part Time Cashier/Budtender - Okay Cannabis Dispensary

This position requires typical retail hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

About the role

The Cashier/Budtender Staff greets patients on the sales floor and/or at checkout, assists with placing orders, confirms products purchased, and completes sales via cash or card with meticulous attention to detail. The role focuses on providing excellent care and customer service for all patients and adult-use customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients on the sales floor and/or at checkout and verify purchases.
• Keep current with dispensary flow and product inventory.
• Complete cash or card sales at the register and maintain responsibility for all transactions, including closing drawer reconciliations.
• Perform cash and credit card transactions, issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to patients.
• Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
• Assist in online product reservations.
• Support daily cash reconciliation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized sales floor.
• Follow all state and federal regulations, including ID verification (IDFPRO).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Six months to one year of sales or POS experience.
• Proficient with technology and POS software.
• Must pass a background check (including federal).
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid license or state ID.
• Must be available to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.

Physical Qualifications

• Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds independently and 75+ pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
