Cub Monticello is seeking a part-time Cashier to join their team! Cashiers assist customers, ensuring proper service levels and courtesy, perform product scanning, handle payments, and address customer inquiries.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers and maintain positive customer relations
• Perform product scanning and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Ensure proper handling of all forms of tender and coupons
• Absorb and process voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions or requests
• Assist with front-end maintenance and cleaning

Job Requirements

• Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• On-going customer interaction and prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment and ability to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be 16 years of age and older

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions

Schedule

Variably scheduled weekly shifts, including weekends.
