Part Time Cashier, Afternoons and Evenings
About the Role
As a Cashier, you will craft quality customer experiences by providing efficient, effective customer service in the checkout lane that creates a positive and lasting impact on Meijer customers. This is a part-time position. Full weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday) is required.

Responsibilities
- Become knowledgeable on Meijer programs and promotions to best assist customers
- Create welcoming, memorable checkout experiences that leave a lasting impression
- Use Meijer systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash and payments responsibly, with attention to detail
- Communicate clearly and confidently, using friendly eye contact and positive body language
- Answer customer questions and help resolve concerns with care
- Build trust and connection that encourages customers to return
- Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
Requirements
- You’re 18 years of age or older
- You enjoy working with people and providing great service
- You’re comfortable learning and using technology
- You listen well, communicate clearly, and stay organized
- You’re dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to help
- You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods
Previous retail or customer service experience is helpful but not required.
