Part-Time Carpenter

About the Role

This role involves performing carpentry tasks at marine project sites, including constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel supports, frames, and shelters based on blueprints or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team to ensure successful completion of marine construction projects.
• Handle tools and materials safely, interpret plans, lay out foundations, and perform wood and metal framing.
• Inspect structures, pick up supplies, and work closely with colleagues to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Participate in safety and environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• At least two years of carpentry experience or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of concrete forming systems, marine equipment operation, and safe work practices.
• Ability to communicate well and perform physically demanding tasks, including working at heights, in confined spaces, and handling objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must wear PPE, remain calm during emergencies, and adapt to outdoor and extreme conditions.
