Part-Time Carpenter
About the role
Builds, installs or maintains components, woodwork, casework and furniture at Coors Field and McGregor Square. Performs ceiling, wall and flooring repairs. Performs general duties necessary to prepare and maintain interior and exterior surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Builds and repairs walls, casework, ceilings, floors, etc. and refinish wood products.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, laminate, and other materials.
- Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Install, tape and finish drywall.
- Complete flooring repairs, including tile, carpet, rubber, and re-staining and refinishing of materials.
- Repair miscellaneous millwork needed around Coors Field or McGregor Square.
- Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
- Designs and installs cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation.
- Work on Preventative Maintenance items around Coors Field and McGregor Square as it relates to general carpentry and maintenance items – repairing ceiling tiles, patch / paint walls, repair flooring, millwork repairs, etc.
- Specialty Projects – will be assigned special projects which will require measuring, ordering material, planning out schedule and execution of carpentry installations in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Must meet the following minimum requirements: High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in Maintenance or Construction as a Carpenter
- Computer Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, pdf software (Preferred)
- Ability to use a cell phone to clock-in, clock-out and receive work orders
- Ability to use tape measure, level, laser level, table saw, sander, hammer and other tools associated with the carpenter profession
- Ability to work with and repair laminated cabinetry
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Operating equipment used in the building trades – forklift, lifts, carts, etc.
- Driver’s license in good standing as driving may be required as part of job duties
- Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas
- Assists in other work areas in the department, ballpark, or McGregor Square, as needed or directed by the Assistant Director or Senior Director of Engineering

Skills
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings
- Contribute to an accident-free work environment by complying with all safety measures of equipment and workmanship
- Carpenter assignments will include work at Coors Field and McGregor Square that will be assigned via work orders or PMs via Angus, the work order system
- Work is assigned by means of verbal or written orders and is carried out by the position in accordance with standard practices of the carpenter trade
- Exercise independent judgment in times of immediate need or emergency situations
- Maintain inventory of supplies and the ability to order from suppliers
- Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas
- Assists in other work areas in the department, ballpark, or McGregor Square, as needed or directed by the Assistant Director or Senior Director of Engineering

Pay
$30-35 per hour
Schedule
Must be able to work on average 28 hours per week during traditional working hours Mon. thru Fri. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. The schedule could be shorter hours each day, or three full days. Advance notice will be given for schedule changes whenever possible.
