Part-Time Cardiac Sonographer (Weekends)

About the Role

The Cardiac Sonographer performs transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and pediatric echocardiograms, supporting both adult and pediatric patients. Working independently and with the healthcare team, they provide high-quality diagnostic imaging, assist physicians in developing care plans, and ensure patient safety and education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various echocardiographic procedures using specialized equipment.
• Assess patient needs, provide education, and document care accurately.
• Support departmental operations and standby call duties.
• Maintain proficiency in imaging techniques and safety protocols.
• Engage in professional development and patient-centered education.
• Participate in a weekend package schedule with weekend shifts and rotating call coverage for evenings and holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate of a health science program (cardiovascular, ultrasound, radiologic tech).
• Certification in Adult and Pediatric Echocardiography (ARDMS or CCI).
• BLS certification and valid driver’s license.
• Preferably 1+ year of hospital or clinic experience with adult and pediatric patients.
