Cardiac Sonographer (Full-Time, Weekends)

About the Role

A Cardiac Technician in a Diagnostic Cardiology team, supporting adult and pediatric patients through non-invasive diagnostic exams and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, provides education, and ensures continuity of care.
• Assists physicians in developing care plans and documents patient interactions accurately.
• Performs high-quality diagnostic tests such as EKG, cardiac monitoring, and stress testing.
• Operates specialized equipment and maintains proficiency in safety practices, including radiation safety.
• Contributes to professional development and delivers age-appropriate patient education with a focus on safety and error prevention.

Requirements

• Graduate of a health science program related to cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, or radiologic technology.
• Certification in Adult Echocardiography (ARDMS or CCI) required; Pediatric Echocardiography certification preferred.
• Preferably one year of hospital or clinical experience with both adult and pediatric patients.
• Current BLS certification; valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform manual skills for various diagnostic procedures and operate relevant equipment.
