About the Role
The principal tasks of the Campus Aide focus primarily on student supervision, which includes ensuring safety before, during, and after school, managing common areas like the playground and hallways, and implementing Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). Additionally, the position involves organizing and planning structured recess activities and equipment tailored to various student age levels. The individual is expected to assist in classrooms, maintain professionalism and punctuality, and collaborate effectively with co-workers while adhering to all school policies. This is an on-site position based at a school site; remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
Student Supervision
- Support with the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) through the consistent use of encouraging language, rewards, and consequences
- Ensure the safety of students at all times by regularly reinforcing expectations for common areas
- Engage in active supervision of hallways and/or playground during nutrition and lunch periods as assigned
- Supervise students before, during, and after school
Activity Planning
- Organize appropriate recess equipment for the various age levels based on the recess/lunch schedule
- Plan for structured nutrition/lunch recess activities
Classroom Aide
- Assist in classrooms when needed
- Aide in other school-wide duties as assigned by the leadership team
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers
- Arrive to supervision locations on time
- Arrive to work on time daily
- Arrive to work assignments on time throughout the school day
- Adhere to school/ICEF policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
- An earned High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of college (48 units) or Associate's Degree or higher or passed the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and verbal communication
- Strong leadership, team management, and project execution skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficient use of Google-based applications
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Background check clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a public charter school, charter management organization, or public school district
- Proficiency in using school-based information systems and applications
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
