Part-Time Camera Operator

About the role

This is a part-time position at Rutland Community Television (RCTV) in the Cable Department. The position is open until filled and applicants are subject to a CORI check.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down video and audio equipment for meetings and events
• Record and livestream municipal meetings (Select Board, Planning Board, Finance Committee, School Committee, etc.)
• Monitor and adjust audio/video quality during recordings
• Assist with file organization and basic equipment troubleshooting
• Support community event coverage as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused during long meetings
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to learn and operate video and audio equipment
• Prior video or production experience preferred

Requirements

• Availability for evenings and occasional weekends
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to ~40 lbs)

Pay

The salary range for this position is $15.92 – $18.75/hr.
