About the role

We are recruiting for part-time, game night staff for the Orlando Magic, Osceola Magic, and Orlando Solar Bears. This position is for the upcoming season of 2026-27. Our interviewing process starts mid-August with an anticipated start date of mid-September.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate video camera during live events at the Kia Center and Osceola Magic games.
  • Set up and take down camera gear and related equipment before and after events.
  • Test and set up Sony HDC-3500H, Sony FX6, Hitachi SK-HD1000, and other equipment with Video Shader and BTS departments.
  • Operate pan/tilt heads, zooms, and focus controls, ensuring balanced operation and headset communication.
  • Provide compelling shots and feed replay operators with game and event action.
  • Collaborate with the production team during rehearsals and follow show instructions.
  • Report technology or equipment issues promptly and assist in the technical strike of broadcast equipment.
  • Maintain accurate availability and information on ACStaff.com.
  • Make decisions with minimal supervision and work independently.
  • Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-call as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of live video production required or preferred.
  • Knowledge of NBA, Orlando Magic basketball, ECHL, and Orlando Solar Bears hockey preferred.
  • Live sports video production experience required.
  • Proficiency in professional broadcast camera equipment required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and other related computer skills.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in business writing.
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and be on-call as necessary.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and sitting for long periods of time.
  • Walking with camera equipment up and down stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
