About the role

As a Bus Driver, you will provide courteous, curb-to-curb service to clients across Tri-CAP's service area, and assist individuals in maintaining independence by providing a reliable public transportation option. This role requires a balance of customer service, safety-first mindset, and passion for connecting with people.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, curb-to-curr service to clients across Tri-CAP's service area
• Aid individuals in maintaining independence through reliable public transportation
• Connect with customers to build and maintain positive relationships
• Adapt to changing priorities due to customer needs, weather, etc.
• Solve problems creatively in a fast-changing environment while maintaining clear communication with the dispatch team
• Ensure a safe transportation experience
• Identify and address potential conflicts or issues to maintain a smooth operation

Requirements

• Comfortable connecting with others and building positive relationships with both regular and first-time riders
• Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities
• Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations
• Focus on safety and providing a secure ride
• Attention to detail to anticipate and resolve issues

Qualifications

• Experience in bus transportation is preferred, but not required
• Willingness to train and bring the right mindset and drive to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
