Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers as they enter the dispensary, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and desired effects from cannabis products
- Provide accurate and relevant information about different strains, products, consumption methods, and potential effects
- Absorb and assist customers in making informed decisions based on their individual preferences and needs
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, handle cash, and maintain proper inventory records
- Maintain an organized and clean retail space, ensuring that products are properly displayed and stocked
- Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding the sale, distribution, and possession of cannabis products
- Verify customer identification and age to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service
- Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and changes in regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and effectively
- Uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive customer information
- Absorb and assist in conducting regular inventory audits and restocking products as needed
- Participate in ongoing training and education programs related to cannabis products, safety protocols, and customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge and/or willingness to learn cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods
- Familiarity with state and local cannabis regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards cannabis and its potential benefits
- Ability to maintain professionalism and integrity while working in a highly regulated industry
- Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible for employment in the cannabis industry
