Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person and over the phone, adapting communication style to each guest.
• Use store systems (appointments, POS, iPad tools) to manage customer flow and deliver a 5‑star experience.
• Prepare for appointments by reviewing customer profiles, favorites, and fitting‑room setup.
• Build relationships by asking questions, listening to expectations, and aiming to identify the perfect gown within the first three try‑ons.
• Review the Timeline Calendar, set future appointments, and follow up with reminders.
• Promote alterations, personalization options, and the loyalty & partners program; partner with Alterations Specialists to schedule fittings.
• Assist the store team in achieving an 80 % conversion of brides sold to alterations appointments.
• Take accurate measurements, enter them into the system, and minimize returns/exchanges.
• Maintain store standards (cleanliness, organization, promotional readiness) and report any broken or damaged equipment.
• Adhere to dress‑code standards and represent the David’s Bridal brand as a brand ambassador.
• Respond promptly to product and service questions, building relationships that drive satisfaction and loyalty.
• Follow the 5‑Step Selling Process to meet hourly sales productivity standards and achieve platform conversion of 65 % or greater.
• Achieve add‑on goals: headpieces 75 %, foundations 10 %, shoes 20 %.
• Schedule follow‑up appointments for the entire wedding party (bridesmaids, mother‑of‑the‑bride, flower girl).
• Continuously develop product knowledge, fashion trends, and sales expertise; strive for Circle of Excellence status.
• Execute new processes, contests, and programs as assigned; handle merchandising, visual changes, markdowns, and inventory counts.
• Support loss‑prevention and security policies; accurately clock in/out for shifts, breaks, and meals.
• Participate in ongoing training, share expertise with fellow stylists, and embrace coaching feedback.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years prior retail experience in apparel, service, or specialty store environments (preferred).
• Experience with computerized POS systems (preferred).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to handle multiple customers simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, listening, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to meet sales targets, conversion rates, and add‑on goals.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge, fashion trends, and sales processes.
• Commitment to adhering to dress‑code and brand standards.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 lb.
• Use peripheral vision, depth perception, and close‑up vision to assess garments.
• Read and operate computers and electronic devices for long periods.
