Part Time Box Truck Delivery Driver

About the role

Gordon Food Service Store LLC is seeking a Box Truck Delivery Driver to join their team. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of previous delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or a related field. A valid unrestricted Standard Operator’s License is required, along with a clean driving record and being at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products accurately and on time to the correct store location.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Collect customer payments and safeguard company funds.
• Communicate and resolve concerns with store and sales management.
• Complete daily pre/post trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
• Manage paperwork for customer pick-ups or credits.
• Perform equipment checks and report any mechanical issues or damages.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle.
• Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately using the point of sale system.
• Ensure security of assets such as cash, checks, and merchandise.
• Adhere to the mission and values of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year previous delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or related field preferred.
• Unrestricted Standard Operators License required.
• Must have a clean driving record (no drug or alcohol offenses in the last 3 years).
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Pass pre-employment checks including a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report (MVR).
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.
