Part Time - Biofuels - Research Assistant
Job Duties
- Preparation of tissue culture media, growth hormones and culture of explants under sterile conditions.
- Afford assistance with DNA, RNA and Protein isolation.
- Perform routine upkeep of the laboratory and Greehouse.
- Collect, analyze data and be involved in publishing papers as co-authors.
- Provide support in working on cancer cell lines and engineering cannabinoid pathway genes in E.Coli.
- Support the PI and Director of the laboratory with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Experience in metabolic engineering of industrial hemp.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques including DNA, RNA and Protein isolation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of molecular biology and genetics.
Skills
- Proficiency in laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
