Part-Time Billing Specialist

About the role

Liaisons Community Care is seeking a part-time Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with CheckPoint EHR.

Responsibilities

• Review service documentation and claims for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Submit claims and follow up on rejections, denials, and unpaid balances.
• Research billing discrepancies and work with clinical and administrative staff to resolve them.
• Track claim status, payments, and outstanding accounts.
• Maintain accurate billing records and protect confidential client information.

Qualifications

• Prior medical billing experience, preferably in behavioral health.
• Experience using CheckPoint EHR is required.
• Experience with Medicaid billing, claim corrections, and denial followup is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet billing deadlines.
