Part Time Bender I – Night Shift (7:00pm - 7:00am Saturday & Sunday) - $21/hr. + $1.00/hr. Shift

Part-time night shift position based in Pueblo, working 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Pay is $21/hour plus a $1.00/hour shift differential.

About the role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Bender I is responsible for the quality, quantity, and accurate production of fiberglass elbows while adhering to Atkore’s ATIRE protocols for personal conduct.

Responsibilities

• Confirm product with schedule and locate appropriate inventory
• Attain targeted and planned production levels on the equipment
• Communicate with Bender Helper regarding planned production for the shift
• Initiate accurate bending, cutting, and sanding if no Bender Helper is available
• Keep accurate production records, including quantity bent, scrap rates, oven time, and temperature
• Perform final inspection—verify angle, label, and sand as necessary
• Perform changeovers with some assistance
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned area
• Perform any other tasks appointed by management

Requirements

• Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of previous shop experience preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong math skills for quick and accurate counting, calculations, and measurements (radius, inside/outside diameter, length)
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
• Adaptability to changes in the work environment and comfort with competing demands
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Performance expectations within 3 months

• Know and follow plant safety rules, wearing proper PPE
• Zero safety incidents in the past 90 days
• Fewer than 15 attendance points on the evaluation date
• No documented warnings within the 90-day probationary period

Pay

$21.00 per hour plus a $1.00/hour shift differential. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, and business needs. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
