About the role

We are seeking a reliable and responsible babysitter to assist with our two children, ages 12 and 6, while we travel for work every other week. The position is based on the north side of Jacksonville, FL, close to the airport.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the children to and from their charter schools on Beach Blvd (25-minute drive each way).
  • Morning duties: get the kids up, pack lunches, and ensure they leave by 7 a.m.
  • Drop off the middle schooler by 7:30 a.m. and the elementary school child by 7:45 a.m.
  • Afternoon duties: pick up the 6-year-old at 2:30 p.m. (the 12-year-old walks over), return home by 3:30 p.m., provide snacks, assist with homework, and supervise play until parents return.
  • Supervise the children during the assigned hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Schedule

3 days every other week (typically Tuesday to Thursday), with the following hours:

  • 6:00–8:00 a.m.
  • 2:30–6:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Reliable car and a clean driving record.
  • Ideal for a student with classes from 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or someone local who doesn’t mind the drive.
  • No prior experience with pets required (no dogs or cats, but other pets are present).
  • No bathing or bedtime routines required.

Pay

Competitive hourly rate plus gas compensation.
