Part-Time Awake Overnight Positive Support Specialist
Job Summary
Positive Support Specialists (PSS) work in our Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs. These programs serve individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs. Our approach focuses on supporting individuals to reach their goals while ensuring safety and community integration.
PSS team members assist individuals in developing essential life skills, advocating for their rights and medical care, and engaging in community activities that are meaningful to them. They also manage crisis situations safely and effectively, including the potential use of manual restraints. Training in Positive Behavioral Supports and manual restraints is provided.
As part of the team, PSS members engage in trauma-informed care practices daily.

Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, squatting, bending, or walking for long periods.
- Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.
- Cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is the minimum education requirement, but a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with people with complex needs is required, with 3-5 years of relevant experience being preferred.
