(Part-Time): Aviation Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the role

Hoplite Group is seeking an Aviation Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a U.S. Government building partner capacity effort focused on aviation logistics modernization, maintenance operations, supply chain management, and fleet sustainment.

Location

Remote support (CONUS) and forward engagements (OCONUS) in selected partner nation as part of a U.S. Government advising effort.

Level of Effort

• Non-travel months: Approximately 30–50 hours/month.
• Travel months: Approximately 80–90 hours/month.
• Initial travel anticipated July 2026.

Required Qualifications

• Retired senior military officer (O-5/O-6) with demonstrated aviation logistics leadership experience.
• 20+ years of experience in aviation logistics.
• Experience with supply chain management, distribution management, and obsolescence management.
• Experience with life cycle management, readiness reporting, and resource management programs.
• Experience supporting maintenance operations and fleet management programs.
• Experience with logistics planning and doctrine development.
• Extensive experience coordinating with allies and partners.
• Data analytics experience.
• Experience supporting logistics efforts at USAF Air Combat Command.
• Experience supporting multinational or coalition operations.
• Active US Secret Security clearance.
