About the role
Provide athletic training services to schools, organizations, and events, including injury assessment, treatment, prevention, and reconditioning in accordance with the Board of Certification (BOC) standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver athletic training support during practices, games, and other events.
- Collaborate with coaches, medical personnel, and organizations to assess and manage athlete injuries.
- Assist in equipment and supply identification for athletic activities.
- Participate in sports medicine education and meetings.
- Maintain injury records and supervise staff in training rooms.
- Recruit and educate student athletic trainers.
- Coordinate pre-participation physicals and concussion testing.
- Promote sports medicine programs and provide public educational sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and active Athletic Trainer certification (BOC).
- Effective communication skills, visual acuity, and ability to work flexible hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Additional certifications such as Strength and Conditioning.
- Commitment to teamwork, confidentiality, and adherence to safety standards.
