As a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2, you’ll support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, team development, and operational excellence while fostering customer relationships in a civic-minded, pop culture-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales plans and comp sales goals.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative and passionate team.
- Drive customer engagement through promotions, social media, and services like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
- Lead operational excellence with a balance of delegation, autonomy, and customer-first practices.
- Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules.
- Communicate trends and customer feedback to retail leadership and HQ partners.
- Analyze sales reports and use data to guide strategies for hitting targets.
- Merchandise the store compellingly, follow planograms, and launch promotions on time.
- Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team in partnership with the Store Manager.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience.
- Proven leadership in driving team success with skills in communication, recruiting, operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising), and team development.
- Strong abilities in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (a degree is a plus).
- Ability to adapt to the fast-paced retail environment and handle unexpected challenges.
- Physical ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).
Pay
$18.90 - $21.75 an hour. The final salary will consider factors such as education, location, experience, and meeting minimum job requirements.
