Part Time Assistant Coach Softball
About the role
The Assistant Coach reports to the Athletic Director, under the supervision of the Head Softball Coach. Responsibilities include assisting in recruiting efforts, developing and coaching student-athletes, maintaining academic integrity, and assisting in fund-raising.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in recruiting efforts.
- Developing and coaching student-athletes.
- Commitment to academic integrity and student-athlete welfare.
- Assisting in fund-raising to support the program’s operational budget.
Requirements
- Maintain a current CPR and AED certification.
- This is a part-time, 12-month position.
Qualifications
- Three years coaching experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Solid administrative skills with the ability to communicate and motivate student-athletes to achieve goals.
- Willingness to interact comfortably with individuals and constituency groups that are crucial to the advancement of the softball program along with the department and institution.
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Associate degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Collegiate coaching and recruiting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
