Part-Time Assistant/Associate/Professor of Surgery

Job Summary

Lincoln Memorial University's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) is seeking a Board-Certified Surgeon (D.O. or M.D.) to join our team as a Part-Time Assistant/Associate/Professor of Surgery in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor osteopathic medical students.
• Lead hands-on surgical and procedural skills laboratories.
• Facilitate competency-based training for residents and students at LMU-DCOM Graduate Medical Education partner institutions.
• Contribute to scholarly activity and academic excellence.
• Support LMU's mission of educating compassionate physicians who serve their communities.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).
• Board Certified in Surgery.
• Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure within one year of hire.
• Able to maintain an unrestricted Tennessee medical license throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Five or more years of clinical and/or academic teaching experience.
• Leadership experience in academic medicine.
• Academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
