Part-time and Limited Term Faculty Positions in the Wellstar School of Nursing

About the role

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of the Wellstar School of Nursing for the academic year 2026-2027. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Nursing discipline
• Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia AND
• To Teach Undergraduate Courses: A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Nursing or a closely related discipline is required. OR To Teach Graduate Courses: A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Nursing or a related discipline is required, such as DNP, PhD, EdD.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in nursing education or serving as a preceptor for nursing students in clinical settings (1-2 years preferred)
• Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses
