About the role
This person will be responsible for student instruction, and/or clinic supervision on a part-time basis in the Nursing Programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Required Master's Degree in Nursing (Desired), OR, completion of a MSN degree within the timeline established by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and submission of a written 5-year plan to do so; as well as produce a transcript yearly to demonstrate progression towards the MSN degree.
- Required Doctorate Degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) in nursing, education, or a closely related field.
- Preferred Relevant teaching experience on the secondary or postsecondary level.
- Required RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current, active, unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Required One to two years of clinical nursing experience within two years of employment.
- Required Developed organizational skills.
- Required Certified in CPR at the Basic Life Support level or higher and maintain certification.
- Required Valid driver's license.
- Required Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in the courses of the Nursing Programs.
- Required Supervise, guide and instruct students in nursing laboratory, simulation, and clinical areas.
- Required Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
- Required Assist other faculty and school administrators with laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.
- Required Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.
- Required Attend department/team meetings as scheduled.
- Required Complete the Qualifications and Professional Development form and an updated CV annually and submit to supervisor to demonstrate completion of continuing education requirements for PA state RN license.
- Required Submit to supervisor a copy of nursing license upon initial hire and renewal.
- Required Maintain all College and clinical site compliances annually and as requested.
- Required Assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.
- Required Standing or walking for extended periods of time.
- Required Multiple physical positioning including full range of motion.
- Required Fine motor dexterity.
- Required Assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.
- Required The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven.
- Required The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.
