At Kidcreate Studio Frederick, we're on a mission to help children learn, create, and explore through hands-on art and science experiences. We're seeking an enthusiastic, people-loving Part-Time Studio Director to help lead our growing studio.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily studio operations
  • Ensure classes, camps, workshops, and events run smoothly
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized, and safe studio environment
  • Manage schedules, supplies, and studio inventory
  • Support studio growth through community outreach and partnerships
  • Build relationships with families and community partners
  • Answer inquiries and assist with registrations
  • Deliver outstanding customer service before, during, and after programs
  • Help create memorable experiences for children and their caregivers
  • Recruit, train, coach, and support instructors
  • Foster a positive, fun, and professional team culture
  • Assist with staff scheduling and performance management
  • Promote classes, camps, birthday parties, and special events
  • Represent the studio at community events and outreach opportunities
  • Support social media content creation and local marketing efforts
  • Help achieve enrollment and revenue goals

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and families
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and participate in active classroom environments
  • Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and summer camp periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in education, childcare, recreation, arts, camps, or youth programming
  • Management, supervisory, or leadership experience
  • Sales, customer service, or business development experience
  • Social Media experience (content creation)
  • Passion for creativity, art, science, and hands-on learning

Pay

Hourly Pay: $23-$28 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

15–20 hours per week. Flexible schedule with afternoon, evening, and weekend availability. Additional hours available during camps, special events, and school breaks.
