Part-Time After School Nanny/Tutor in Excelsior, MN

A bit about us: We are a family of four—Mom, Dad, and our two boys, ages 9 and 7. Above all else, we are most proud of raising kind, empathetic children who treat others with respect and compassion. We are a fun, active family with a busy schedule centered around our boys' traveling sports, and while life is often on the go, we truly love it. Family is incredibly important to us, and we're fortunate to have many relatives nearby who are a big part of our lives. Our boys are very social and love spending time with friends, whether it's hosting playdates, sharing meals, or playing outside. We're looking for someone who will enjoy becoming a positive and dependable part of our active, family-oriented home.

Responsibilities

• Arrive around 3:15–3:30 p.m. to greet the boys after school (bus arrives between 3:35 and 3:45 p.m.)
• Assist with homework at the library and maintain an organized, productive afternoon routine
• Provide transportation to sports practices and other activities when one parent is traveling
• Use your own reliable vehicle for transporting the children (valid driver’s license required)

Requirements

• 2 years of experience working with children
• Tutoring experience highly preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Willingness to use your own car for transporting the children
• Honest, responsible, and reliable with excellent communication skills
• Outgoing personality with the ability to be silly and playful while setting clear expectations
• Commitment to open, transparent communication and following CDC guidelines for health and safety

Skills

• Ability to keep up with two active, energetic boys
• Experience earning children’s respect through consistency, kindness, and confidence
• Love for being active and knowledge of chess (preferred)

Schedule

Starting September 1st, Monday to Friday from 3:15/3:30–6:00 p.m., continuing through the end of the school year and into the summer if a good fit.
