About the role

Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs for local school districts. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and provide peace of mind to families. We do this by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a safe and nurturing environment, monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements;
  • 18+ years of age;
  • Proof of a High School diploma/GED required;
  • Six months of experience working in a licensed childcare setting.

Skills

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills;
  • Works well in a team environment;
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age;
  • Ability to lift 25lbs;
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living;
  • Prioritize Safety and Joy;
  • Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Pay

$15 - $18 per hour (depending on years of experience and education in related field although not required)

Schedule

Monday through Friday (Must be able to work Monday through Friday) After School program 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm (may vary slightly)
