Part-Time Adjunct - School of Music
About the role
The School of Music at West Virginia University invites applications for part-time Adjunct positions to teach undergraduate, graduate, or non-credentialled courses. The College offers a variety of programs including Graduate Programs, Undergraduate Programs, and The Community Music Program and the Mountaineer Marching Band.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate, graduate, or non-credentialled courses as assigned.
- Develop and maintain course materials and syllabi.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committee work.
- Maintain current knowledge of music education and pedagogy.
Requirements
- Terminal degree (master’s or doctoral) in a closely related discipline.
- Related professional experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with substantial, highly specialized industry experience may also be considered.

- Engaging, dynamic, and leaders in their respective fields.
- Ability to create a valuable, interactive learning experience for students.

- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Benefits
These positions are not anticipated to be benefits-eligible.
Pay
Salary is established on a per-course basis.

Positions are part-time.
