Part-Time, Adjunct Instructors of Composition, beginning Fall 2026
About the role
The Division of Communications and the Arts at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Campus is seeking part-time, adjunct instructors of English Composition for the Fall 2026 semester.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or two in-person classes per semester in Intro to College Composition, Comp 1, and/or Comp 2.
- Experience teaching Composition at the university or collegiate level is strongly preferred.
- Experienced working with college students from diverse backgrounds and applied experience in the field of expertise are encouraged.
Requirements
- M.A. in English Composition or a closely related field is preferred.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching and a passion for working with college students. Experience working with diverse student populations and a demonstrated ability to engage and support students are highly valued.
Skills
Effective communication skills, the ability to adapt to different learning styles, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment are essential.
