About the role

Assisting the increase in access to justice for individuals who cannot afford to hire or who choose not to hire and be represented by an attorney.

Responsibilities include assisting in access to justice for individuals who cannot afford to hire or who choose not to hire and be represented by an attorney.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
• Associate degree in criminal justice preferred; pre-law, public administration, or related field or equivalent experience considered
• Experience reading and interpreting legal documents of varying types and complexity; applying knowledge of specific laws, statutes and rules to individual cases without providing legal advice
• Practical knowledge of standard practices and procedures of the Court, legal terminology, and local judicial policies
• Working knowledge of issues facing people experiencing homelessness, violence, and poverty
• Ability to operate standard office equipment
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required

Pay

$23.46-$26.06/hour based on education and position related experience
