Department: Inpatient Psychiatric • Location: Clifton Springs Hospital • Hours Per Week: 24 hours (12 hour shifts)

Schedule

  • Days or Nights
  • Every other weekend rotation

Summary

Assist Unit Leadership in assessing patient’s functioning as well as developing and implementing treatment plans and services as patient’s needs warrant.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care services to patients on an individual and group basis, including but not limited to activities of daily living, social, and psychiatric rehabilitation per treatment plan, as directed by Unit Leadership.
  • Participates in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan sharing patient’s needs and wants as communicated by the patient directly through patient surveys, collaterals, and the treatment team.
  • Documents and communicates patient response to treatment effectively, accurately, and in a timely manner according to Program Policies and Procedures.
  • Provides comprehensive care to patients in a professional and caring manner and takes appropriate actions, communicating findings to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Intercedes on behalf of the customer to ensure they have access to required services.
  • Participates in the peer review process and utilizes quality improvement techniques to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team by providing feedback, maintaining professional relationships, and offering program and patient-specific feedback and recommendations.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Understands and practices established RGHS policies, procedures, goals, standards of care, quality improvement activities, safety, and environmental and infection control.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Services related field, medical related field, customer service, or client/patient interfacing experience required.
  • Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.

Licenses / Certifications

For disease-specific care programs, refer to the program-specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

Pay

Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00
