Openings & Schedules

Northwest Center (88th & Blondo): Part-time position available Monday through Friday, 2pm–5:30pm. Will consider someone full-time for this position; would be a general classroom floater from 9am–2pm and then work in school-age from 2pm–5:30pm.

Southwest Center (138th & Q): Part-time position available from 2/2:30pm–5:30pm. Full-time general floater position available from 9am–5:30pm. Full-time Level 3 Paraprofessional position available from 9am–5:30pm.

Pay

Starting pay is $17.00 – $19.00 an hour, based on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent per childcare regulations
• One year experience working in a licensed childcare center or public school system preferred
• Ability to adhere to work schedules
• Possesses understanding, patience, and flexibility in dealing with clients, parents, and team members
• Able to demonstrate successful completion of Personal Care Aide training including a PowerPoint, quiz, and competency demonstration signed by a Registered Nurse as required by Children's Day Health Services Regulations
• Able to complete Positive Behavioral Supports and Crisis Intervention and Safety Training provided by CRCC
• Must be able to complete 24 education hours (CEU) if working 34–40 hours per week, 12 education hours (CEU) if working 20–34 hours per week, 6 education hours (CEU) if working less than 20 hours per week, each year
• Willing to increase knowledge in fields of endeavor
• Able to read and understand written plans
• Must be agile enough to perform the job as a caretaker of young clients
• Able to lift up to fifty pounds and practices 2 person lifting for clients over 50 pounds or when necessary
• Must meet agency's conditions of employment regarding health status and clearance with the Nebraska Child Abuse/Neglect Central Registry and/or Adult Abuse/Neglect Registry, the Nebraska State Patrol, criminal background check, and fingerprinting

• Experience in a childcare program and/or college courses in education/child development preferred, but not required
• Behavioral experience preferred, but not required
• On-site paid training and CEU's

Holiday policy for paid holidays for part-time staff that average 15 to 35 hours a week, will be paid the average daily hours worked up to a maximum of 4 hours. Employees who work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for health, dental and vision benefits.
