Parks Maintenance Aide I-II - Downtown/Farmer's Market Restroom Support

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

• Operate small power tools such as a drill/driver, trailer jacks and wheel chocks.
• Perform basic janitorial duties including cleaning toilets, disinfecting surfaces, and restocking supplies.
• Follow safety procedures used in public works maintenance projects.
• Operate a city vehicle and tow trailers safely and effectively.
• Communicate with members of the public politely and respectfully.
• Complete necessary paperwork and advise management on repairs.
• Inspect vehicles and trailers before each towing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of custodial experience is highly desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift 50 pounds.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Valid California class C driver's license.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment physical.
• Submit proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal right to remain and work in the U.S.
• Submit proof of age.
• Be fingerprinted as part of a background investigation.
